8U scores and highlights

Benson Bruins 41, Rise Academy 6
The Benson Bruin Rebel Boyz started slow after losing the opening kickoff to Rise Academy, who recovered their own kick and managed some early yard gains. However, the defense held steady, and the offense quickly took control. JB Failautusi led the charge with 195 rushing yards and four touchdowns, including a 55-yard score with just three seconds left in the first half to give Benson a 20-0 lead.
Rise Academy managed to break a 40-plus yard run to score their lone touchdown, but the extra point attempt was denied. On defense, Sio Ohi recorded his third interception of the season and contributed three tackles along with several assists.
Bless Austin-Curry showcased his skills on the ground, rushing for 143 yards and two touchdowns, breaking defenders’ ankles throughout the game. The Rebel Boyz’ defense was anchored by Bubba Foushee, who recorded five tackles, four tackles for loss (TFL), and a forced fumble, while Misiuepa Muaau added four tackles and two TFLs. Middle linebackers Liam Brown and Kainoa Ongque combined for seven tackles and numerous assists, effectively slowing down Rise’s run game.
The Rebel Boyz finished the game with a dominant 41-6 win, allowing only their second touchdown of the season. A shoutout goes to Rise Academy and Rise 8U for a hard-fought matchup. Next up: playoffs.
