“Like all inventions, there has to be some sense of regulation. Rules mitigate chaos and manipulation. Already, you can see some of the manipulation online. Certain industries are being affected, such as music, movies, and even news media. So I do believe there should be some regulation to keep it honest.”

“The genie has been let out of the bottle. Getting it back in, they say, is impossible. Keeping it under control will be a difficult task. There are numerous lawsuits out there now that are contesting legitimacy. But oversight, I think, is a necessary thing.”

“AI is a very creative and convenient tool. Its impact on society is already being felt. Like most social constructs, there is oversight. This shouldn’t be any different.”

“I don’t know. Like everything out there on the internet and in technology, the world is changing rapidly and quickly. I think AI is another cog in the machine, and the machine needs to be maintained. Oversight and/or regulation is a part of that maintenance. So, oversight is necessary.”

“Someone has to keep AI in check. There are a lot of crazy things going on in the world right now, and people are using all the tools at their disposal. Someone has to regulate it. Its influence is already making an impact on life, including jobs, content, news and music. In some instances, you can’t tell if information is real or not if you don’t have an eye for AI. Some people can tell, and some, I imagine, can’t tell or don’t care. My point is, someone, an outside agency or the government, is going to have to referee.”

“AI is becoming a part of mainstream life. Its impact is documented on how it is affecting society. There are positive and negative attributes. Society is a bit unpredictable, and to balance that unpredictability, rules, regulations and oversight play that role.”
