AKA’s To Host Masquerade Ball This Saturday

The Ladies of the Seattle Alumnae Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. in partnership with Dynamic Urban Opportunities Foundation, Inc. will host a Masquerade Benefit at 8:00 p.m. this Sat., Oct. 26 at the Renton Event Pavilion – 233 Burnett Avenue South in Renton.

Every community has its annual traditions, celebrations, and rituals.   They can be a tremendous source of identity and connections that preserve history and strengthen a sense of purpose.

The traditions of higher education and lifelong learning run deep, and are strongly valued within The Seattle Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.  The return of our annual Masquerade event is an opportunity to join with friends in an evening of Monte Carlo style fun and connect the community with our educational outreach and community service efforts. Proceeds from the benefit will support our signature service programs, which include Emerging Young Leaders, Economic Security, Social Justice, and Human Rights Initiatives.

“We’re excited to return to this tradition of the Masquerade Benefit. It provides an opportunity to inspire and nurture our connection with the community and join in together as we reach out to make a difference in the world.  Through our evening of dining and dancing we will celebrate shared ideals to invest in uplifting the most vulnerable in our community and for worldwide service,” says President Phyllis Scott Lowe.
