American Baptist GIRLS Ministries: Empowering Girls Through Leadership, Service, And Self-Worth

Some of the girls tending to their vegetable garden.

All girls, from elementary through high school, are invited to be a part of American Baptist GIRLS Ministries. The focus of this fun and exciting group of young ladies is to provide a space for a variety of experiences that develop leadership skills, offer opportunities for service projects, foster positive self-awareness, and enhance confidence and self-worth.

Past projects have included activities such as creating gift baskets for girls in transitional housing, engaging in exercises to develop a better understanding of oneself, honing interviewing skills, participating in Bible study, exploring gardening, delving into African American history, especially in the Seattle area, and going on local tours.

Currently, meetings are held using Zoom. Parents/guardians, for more information or to register your daughter, please call Mount Zion Baptist Church at 206-322-6500. Leave your contact information, and someone will get back to you.

GIRLS Ministries offers an opportunity for any girl in our community to participate, and it is free of charge. We welcome you to join us!
