Do You Support The Trump Administration’s Efforts To No Longer Allow Birth Right Citizenship In The U.S.?

Aaliyah:
“No, I don’t support what he is trying to do with birthright citizenship. It violates our constitutional rights, and I just don’t agree. If you are born here, you deserve to be a citizen.”
James:
“Well, I believe Trump is trying to take over our country. Birthright citizenship—if you are born in this country, your birthright means something to this country. You have the right to be here; you are a citizen of this country. Now, if they came over illegally, that’s on them, but once you are born here, it’s a different story—that’s how it goes.”
Lawrence:
“No, I don’t think it is okay, and I will never agree with his decisions. I don’t even like having his name in my mouth. I don’t support anything he is doing. He should not be able to make a decision for someone—that decision needs to be made by the person themselves.”
Deahja
“I don’t believe that it is possible. If you are born in the United States, you should be able to live and be free in the United States. We are supposed to be the American dream. Trump has dumbed down our nation by trying to eliminate any foreigners, even though the founders of the United States were foreigners.”
Kevin:
“No. One person—the president—shouldn’t be able to decide something like that. I feel like there are so many people who are here, who are not citizens, and contribute more to this world, like our fast-food workers and employees at supermarkets and restaurants. I mean, if you were born here, then you’re born here, and that’s the Constitution. This is supposed to be a free country.”
Adama:
“I don’t support any of Trump’s views on anything. I don’t support his system—never have, never will. He’s never been for us. When I say ‘us,’ I mean specifically Black people, as well as other people of color.”
