ANEW Hosting Pre-Apprentice Training Program

ANEW, a local, non-profit dedicated to improving the access and advancement of women in non-traditional career pathways, such as construction and manufacturing, is excited to announce the anticipated start of cohorts in Snohomish, King, and Pierce Counties this July. Each training program will be held for all genders through their Pre-Apprenticeship Construction Education (PACE) Program.

This program will run for 7 weeks, 5 days a week, from 6:30am to 3pm. Typically ANEW’s classes run for 12 weeks, 3 days a week out of their Training Center in Kent, but because they have partnered with Western Sheet Metal JATC in Everett and DuPont to assist in facilitating they have been able to expand cohorts to these respective locations. The King County cohort will continue to be held at ANEW’s Training Center in Kent.

ANEW offers this training of all construction trades, as well as industry certifications at no-cost to the student. ANEW partners with over 17 apprenticeship programs in the Puget Sound region, public partners, other pre-apprenticeship programs, and employers. Because of this, our clients successfully apply to and are accepted into paid apprenticeship programs. ANEW continues to offer retention services to clients for two years, resulting in increased retention for pre-apprenticeship graduates.
