
Tasha Hailey Hutchins is a senior attorney-editor at Practical Law Company, a Thomson Reuters company. Tasha specializes in mergers & acquisitions (M&A) for the leading web-based provider of practical legal know-how, transactional analysis and market intelligence for business lawyers at all levels of practice. Tasha is a frequent speaker on M&A trends and topics for legal audiences throughout the country — through webinars, Continuing Legal Education workshops and legal conferences. Tasha joined Practical Law from Pfizer Inc., the world’s largest pharmaceuticals company, where she was Senior Corporate Counsel and specialized in M&A transactions for the business transactions group.
Tasha received her law degree from Howard University with honors, and graduated magna cum laude from Howard University with a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Communications. Tasha has served on the board of directors of the Future Leaders Institute (FLI), a New York City charter school as well as other organizations. Tasha is also an Ambassador for the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture (opening 2016).
Tasha is married with two children. She and her husband, Imar Hutchins, are the owners of The ‘World Famous’ Florida Avenue Grill, the oldest, continually-operated soul food restaurant in the world.
