Valyncia Saunders is an attorney at Altria, where she serves as a seasoned, trusted legal advisor to the business on brand management and marketing issues. Prior to joining Altria, Valyncia was a partner at a law firm in Washington, D.C.
In 2013 and 2014, Valyncia was named as a Washington, D.C. Super Lawyer, Rising Star. In 2013, the National Bar Association and IMPACT named her as one of the Nation’s Best Advocates: 40 Lawyers Under 40.
As a member of the legal profession, Valyncia regularly mentors younger lawyers. She is a staunch advocate for diversity in the legal profession and was selected in 2011 as a Fellow for the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity.
Valyncia received her Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from Howard University, where she became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California.
In her free time, Valyncia participates in community service projects. She is also an avid soccer player.
