Do You Believe The U.S. Healthcare Model Is Better Or Worse Than Models Utilized By Other Countries?

Mulahat Yussuf…
Yes, I do think the United States health model is better than any other country just because healthcare here is free for most people and for families who are in poverty or low-income it comes in handy for them and also for older people and younger children.

AJ…
I believe it is not as great in this country as in others because of financial reasons. Also, the record rise in pricing for medication in the United States, whereas overseas you can buy medication at a more affordable rate, that is just my opinion.

Katherine…
I think our healthcare system could be a little better. It could be free. It would be nice if it were free then everybody could afford it. There is too many of our elder and mental health patients that are out on the streets that cannot afford healthcare. If it were affordable to everybody we would all be ok.

Natalie Avent-Metcalf…
I would say that the United States healthcare model is beneath other models of other countries. One of my major qualms is maternity leave, being a parent of three I only had up to six weeks maternal leave with each child, some of it unpaid because I didn’t have accumulated hours. Even with a good private insurance I was still paying high co-pays. I do believe that even if we had to pay a little more in taxes, for us to obtain a more equitable healthcare system, I think it would be a great trade off.
