In the Little League Game of the Week, we had an overpowering offensive performance by the 8U teams as the 253 Spartans were welcomed by the Benson Bruins to Renton Memorial Stadium. This game was a blowout, with seven touchdowns being scored by the home team.

The Bruins’ got going early as Will Conroy, Jr. scored a touchdown on the opening kickoff making every Spartan he could find miss on his way to the end zone.

Although their offense stalled in the first quarter, the second quarter was filled with three more dominant touchdown runs by the Bruins, one by Cordae Norling on a quarterback keeper, and two by Conroy, Jr. to give Benson a 27-0 lead at the half.

The second half was just as dominant for the Bruins, as Norling ran it in from 15 yards out. The final quarter was further proof that no one on the field could stop Conroy Jr. He first reversed field three times for an amazing 50-yard touchdown run, then he sealed the game on defense with a pick six as time was expiring.

Final: Benson Bruins 46, 253 Spartans 0
