Two Men Arrested and Charged with Attempted Murder In Kidnapping And Torture Case Of Burien Woman

Two men have been apprehended and charged with the attempted murder of a Burien woman, following a harrowing incident involving kidnapping, robbery, and torture. Alexander Moises Arnaez-Guttierrez, 25, and Kevin Daniel Sanabria Ojeda, 24, face serious charges, including first-degree robbery, first-degree kidnapping, and first-degree attempted murder, stemming from a violent abduction that occurred on January.

According to court documents, the ordeal began when a 58-year-old woman was ambushed by the two suspects as she was returning to her apartment located on Des Moines Memorial Drive. Investigators report that she was forcibly dragged into their vehicle at gunpoint, where she was made to lie on the floorboard and was brutally kicked in the head.

During the assault, the suspects stole her purse, credit cards, jewelry, and approximately $20,000 worth of gold that she was carrying. In a particularly horrific act, the men coerced her into revealing the PIN for her credit and bank cards while using a power drill to inflict pain on her right hand. They also issued threats to kill her and her family if she sought help or reported the incident.

Following the assault, the suspects allegedly drove the victim to Kittitas County, where they shot her alongside Interstate 90, leaving her for dead. Law enforcement, including deputies and the FBI, utilized cell phone records and tracked the victim’s stolen vehicle to locate and arrest Arnaez-Guttierrez and Ojeda.

Ojeda has previously entered a not guilty plea to the charges against him and remains in custody with bail set at $1 million. Arnaez-Guttierrez is scheduled for arraignment on April 24 and is also being held on a $1 million bail. As the investigation continues, the community remains shaken by the violent nature of this crime, highlighting the serious concerns surrounding safety and security in the area.
