
In a small Sudanese cotton village, teenager Nafisa feels trapped between family tradition and her own dreams. Her grandmother Al-Sit is a powerful woman rumored to have killed a British general long ago. When a businessman returns with plans to change the village using new cotton seeds, tensions grow over land, love, and control. As the village faces big changes, Nafisa must choose between protecting her family’s history or fighting for her own future in Cotton Queen.
