City Of Seattle Looking For Teens To Join Seattle Youth Commission

The City of Seattle is looking for teens that are looking to stand up and make a difference in your community to join the Seattle Youth Commission.

The City is accepting applications for the Seattle Youth Commission (SYC), a group of Seattle teens from all over the city who are appointed by the Mayor and City Council to connect youth to local elected officials, advise on City policies, and discuss issues faced by youth in Seattle.

Commissioners serve a two-year term beginning in September 2018 and ending June 2020.  The commissioners will meet the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month at Seattle City Hall from 4:30 – 6pm and will have additional committee commitments. In addition, the commissioners are required to attend a half-day retreat on Saturday, September 22.

To apply, please complete and submit this online application by July 16 at 5pm.
