NAACP Co-sponsors COVID-19 Vaccine Day

The Seattle King County NAACP, with the City of Seattle Fire Department are sponsoring a COVID-19 Vaccine Day on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 9:00am to 4:00pm.

Everyone 16 and older who wants a COVID-19 vaccine will be eligible to receive one in Washington state starting April 15. To schedule appointments, please call (206) 787-0264. The vaccination site will be Rainier Beach, 8702 Seward Park Ave. S. in Seattle.

Financial Empowerment: You Take Control

Join Gina and Elias Bullock for a virtual financial empowerment workshop series starting Tuesday, April 13from 6:30pm – 8:00pm with Part 1: How Money Works. The series will continue monthly on the second Tuesday of the month through July.

Elias Bullock has been in the financial services industry for 25 years.

Jacquie Jones-Walsh Community Spirit Day, City of Seattle

As proclaimed by Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkin on April 27, 2019 was recognized as Jacquie Jones-Walsh Day in the City of Seattle. On Tues, Apr. 27, the NAACP will celebrate her life, her legacy, and work in public service. This is a day we not only honor Jacquie’s life, but a day to continue her work in public service and the fight for civil rights. At the time of her death, Jones-Walsh was serving as a Vice President of the Seattle King County NAACP.
