
The Greater Seattle African American community is urging anyone with information on the whereabouts of 18-year-old NiAni Rashaad to contact local authorities. Rashaad, the granddaughter of LueRachelle Brim-Atkin, the president of the Seattle-Limbe Sister City Association and Sewing Circle, has been missing since Sun., May 30. She did not return home after attending a movie with a friend in Kent, WA. Since her disappearance, Rashaad’s family and friends have been canvasing door-to-door daily throughout her neighborhood and surrounding areas in Kent seeking any leads to her whereabouts.
Rashaad is a high-functioning, autistic 18-year-old black female. She is 5’2″, 125 lbs with short brown hair and brown eyes. She may be wearing a curly wig, brown striped sweater, black tank top, camo shorts, and a holographic fanny pack. She was last seen walking back home in Kent on May 30 at 7:00 p.m. near Riverwood apartments on the 24600 block Russell Road South in Kent.
Friends and family will hold an event this Sat., June 5 at 3:00 p.m. at Hogan Park on Russell Road in Kent, where they will pass out flyers, bring awareness, and seek information about her whereabouts.
