Constantine Appoints Ed Prince To Sound Transit Board Of Directors

Last week, King County Executive Dow Constantine announced the appointment of Renton City Councilmember Ed Prince to the Sound Transit Board of Directors.

“Creating and maintaining a world-class regional transit system requires the input and perspective of leaders from across our region,” said Constantine. “Councilmember Prince’s experience in Renton will help guide Sound Transit’s expansion and growth in the region for years to come.”

Prince will represent the East King County subarea on the Sound Transit board, filling the seat of retired Redmond Mayor John Marchione. Prince has served on the Renton City Council since 2012 and is the Executive Director of the Washington State Commission on African American Affair. Prince also serves on the Puget Sound Regional Council and previously served on the King County Regional Transit Committee.

Constantine, who serves as Vice Chair of the Sound Transit Board, also reappointed three current Sound Transit Board members to new terms. King County Councilmember Claudia Balducci was reappointed to represent the East King County subarea, and King County Councilmember Joe McDermott and Seattle City Councilmember Debora Juarez reappointed to represent the North King County subarea.
