
Dawn Mason served the 37th legislative District in Seattle, WA as a two term Washington State Representative. She was the Ranking Member of the House Higher Education Committee, and was given the Legislator of the Year by the Washington Student Lobby.
Prior to serving in the state legislature, Mason worked for the City of Seattle as a Management Systems Analyst. After she retied from the city, Mason became affiliated with Antioch University as an adjunct professor and member of Board of Visitors.
Mason is co-founder and president of Parents for Student Success, where she supports young parents in their need to be managers of their children’s education. She is also an Emeritus Board member of the University of Washington Business and Economic Development Center, and President Emeritus of First Place an agency serving the education and social needs of homeless children.
Mason chairs the Advisory Team for the Senator Barack Obama Kogelo School and coordinates protocol for Cultural Reconnection Missions.
Mason is an alum of Distinction at Evergreen State College.
