“No, I absolutely do not think that they should livestream executions. It feels like a modern-day form of public lynching that has been made okay and desensitized by the masses, just because these are criminals according to U.S. law, and we all know that law has a lot of bias written into it. So, it seems like a way to try to bring humanity to a very criminal justice system.”

“Absolutely not. In my personal opinion, executions should be done away with because we are in a flawed criminal justice system, meaning that if it is that everybody cannot be prosecuted, tried, and given every opportunity to exist or be given the benefits of our system or have to be reprimanded by the laws and our policies. If it’s not equal, there’s no way that anybody should be executed, in my personal opinion. But again, when it comes to public executions, livestreamed for the public enjoyment, that’s just as wrong as the electric chair and how so many people who were very much innocent still made it to the electric chair and were executed in that regard. It is wrong through and through.”

“No, I don’t think that should be livestreamed. I think that it’s super dehumanizing, and at a time when young people and people in general are so desensitized to violence, I think that would only add to that, along with the fact that I don’t stand for the death penalty in any case.”

“No, I don’t, because I feel like that’s adding to the state of the world we’re in, where we’re desensitizing death and desensitizing life as a whole.”

“No, I don’t think it’s appropriate. In fact, just the suggestion of it is disappointing. I think already, with access to so much information and video via social media and just media constant in general, we’ve become desensitized to violence. And I think having the government involved in furthering that is just not healthy for us. It’s not healthy for our souls, our spirits, our mental health. I want us to keep as much of our humanity as possible, so that’s why I just wouldn’t be in favor of livestreaming an execution.”

“In my opinion, I think that a livestreaming of a public execution would be huge in deterrent. But I also feel as if it’s absolutely 100% immoral. Having a live execution, especially if you’re looking at a certain demographic or ethnicities, could be focused a lot on areas we would necessarily be comfortable with, meaning that it could be biased toward a certain demographic and, in that, could cause real tension in certain communities.”
