Do You Trust Current Scientific Discoveries That Utilized AI?

Dawn:
“I do not trust AI. However, I’m not too informed on all of the recent discoveries, but the only incident I could refer back to is that I heard the AI robots are working together and hacking systems on their own. And so, they’re coordinating their efforts in that. I’m not articulating it well, but I think that’s going to continue to happen. So, that’s scary. Sounds very similar to all the sci-fi movies, but I’m not too informed on all AI discoveries, particularly as it relates to science.”
Awa:
“I think I would trust it, but I would be cautious around things that are more dangerous to human life. If they’re trying to find a specific medicine or cure for something like that, then no.”
Aden:
“I trust it to an extent. I don’t trust it fully. I wouldn’t go in blindly and then not have background knowledge. I would use AI, but also get other background knowledge to make a final idea or input about findings.”
Walter:
“I think I do trust AI for what it’s for. AI is an artificial intelligence that is getting knowledge from what we already have, whether it’s technology or science. And so, it’s getting the resources and knowledge from everything that they hear from around the world and compiling its information. I don’t think it’s for everything, but I think it is good to be able to have fast knowledge sometimes.”
Fred:
“Yeah, well, AI got some positive input. You know what I mean? I don’t agree with everything, but it’s been working. I’ve seen people do things that they weren’t capable of doing themselves by asking AI. So, I mean, it’s a step toward the future.”
Malachi:
“I think current discoveries are a little overinflated. There’s a lot of stuff that I’ve seen about how it is going to take over the world and that it is attacking companies and stuff, but that stuff has been long gone. That is in the past. AI is in a sheltered environment. It didn’t really do all that much. It feels like it’s just really overinflated that people are afraid, or I know other people buy stocks in certain companies or don’t buy stocks in certain companies because of it.”
