
Dr. Chalon L. Ervin is a psychologist with the American Lake Veterans Administration. She has been working as a therapist with veterans in the Veterans Intensive Post Traumatic Stress Disorder “VIP” Program” since 2013.
Ervin received her Doctorate in clinical psychology (Psy.D) from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology and her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology from Spelman College. Upon completing her undergraduate degree, Ervin worked as a real estate agent to fund her graduate education. While completing her graduate studies, she worked as a psychometrist, administering psychological and neuropsychological tests. She completed practica at Columbus State University, as well as the Atlanta Veterans Administration hospital in the trauma recovery program. Ervin completed her internship at the Veterans Hospital in West Virginia trained as a generalist. After graduate school, she accepted a position at American Lake to be closer to her family as well as to specialize in something dear to her heart, helping veterans cope.
In her spare time, Dr. Ervin volunteers as a consultant for the Celebrate Recovery program in Renton, Washington.
