Eastside Catholic’s Malia Samuels had 21 points and six assists as the Crusaders defeated Garfield 56-41 in the Metro League tournament championship game Friday night at Seattle Pacific University.
Leading 25-17 at the half, Eastside Catholic came out on fire in the third quarter and went on a 14-1 run and never looked back as the cruised to victory.
Garfield’s Dalayah Daniels finished the game with 15 points to lead the Lady Bulldogs.
