Obituary: Elaine Calloway

Elaine Calloway

        Elaine was born Oct. 20, 1956, in Seattle, Washington, and departed May 23, 2026.

She was employed by Bank of America for more than 30 years until she was laid off. She then decided to get her Certificate of Completion in Office Professional Executive Assistant from Renton Technical College in 2006. She then worked as an assistant for Renton Technical College for 14 years until her retirement.

Elaine was an outspoken and generous woman. She was a mother figure to everyone she was around. She loved sewing and always fixed her family’s clothing. She loved fixing up and designing houses in her spare time. She also loved her plants and flowers. She was always cracking jokes and laughing until her last week. Elaine was greatly loved by her family and colleagues.

Viewing will be held at Bonney Watson, 16445 International Blvd., SeaTac, WA 98188, on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 1 to 4 p.m.

Service will be held at Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church, 126 15th Ave., Seattle, WA 98122, on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Parking for the service will be available at 1530 E. Fir St., Seattle, WA 98122.
