The workshop, which is geared towards Entrepreneurs, innovators, artist, venture capitalist and producers, is part of a series of EVOKE UPROAR events around the U.S., “Banking On You” brings together speakers and workshops that will share effective strategies for achieving financial freedom and project and business success, as well as networking opportunities and surprise entertainment throughout the day.
“It is time,” says DeAnna Gravillis, CEO of Evoke Uproar. “It is time for us to bring likeminded people together to really move away from the shame and guilt and move away the condemnation, whatever thoughts one may be having that keeps your vision from moving upward and forward, you still have to move your projects forward, still have to pay rent or mortgages, your payroll, whatever you are moving, where is the support system for that.”
The event will feature a lineup of industry leaders and other experts will lead workshops and panels covering topics such as debt financing, credit scores, staying afloat, investing wisely, building wealth and maximizing your relationship with your bank. In addition, five attendees will get five minutes to give a live pitch of their brand to a panel of experts and the audience.
“To be in Seattle and working with the Seattle Public Library as a really strategic partner and getting what we call OUR5 which are venture capitalist, entrepreneurs, artists, innovators and producers, all moving their projects forward,” says Gravillis. “Our purpose is to create these entrepreneurial support-shops so that OUR5 will be able to become successful not only in their projects but what we call our EVOKE trifecta which is, your passion, meeting your wellness to meeting your financial goals and freedom.”
“It’s really about these people who are starters, they are builders, they are people that are making things move and creating that world for us and they need support,” added Gravillis. “I know this because I have been an entrepreneur for 29 years and I have not been funded by anyone and have built this company so I understand how difficult it can be.”
The event is free, but advance registration is required and tickets are limited. You can register for the event through EventBrite at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/evoke-uproar-banking-on-you-tickets-554365982577
“This workshop is for any and everyone that wants to move their projects forward, that want support, whether that is financial support, human capital support, design, marketing, support that will help move our visions forward,” says Gravillis. “Seattle is the home innovation and disruption and in order for that to continue at the velocity that it is, we are going to have to connect to each other more on a human level of understanding what are the needs that we need to move forward. That’s what EVOKE UPROAR is about, really aiding, educating and encouraging our5 to really move their projects forward and to know that we may mistakes and that’s ok because tomorrow is another day and we are here for each to help build as well as close the gap between finance, or marketing, we are going to close those gaps.”
