Evangelist Manaway was ordained and assigned as the Women’s Ministry Overseer of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in 2009. This role affords her the opportunity to minister to her grandchildren while remaining connected to the congregation, and help facilitate women’s spiritual development. The role also created opportunities for God to call and develop other spirit-filled women to become effective women’s ministries leaders.
As a child, she was active in her family’s church. She sang in the choir, and served as treasurer for church ministries. In 1976, Evangelist Manaway accepted her call to ministry. In October of 1976, after a long hospital stay and miraculous recovery, she preached her first public message entitled “I’m Free At Last.” In this capacity Evangelist Manaway preached many children, youth, and young adult services. Preaching of the Word of God opened doors for her to preach in Mississippi, New Jersey, and Alabama. She was also lead singer for a family and friends quartet groups known as the Golden Angelics.
Manaway is married to Rev. Robert L. Manaway, Sr. The Lord has blessed them with five children, eight grandchildren, and two great-grand children.
