Garfield Class Of ’72 Seeks Information On Classmates To Attend 50 Year Reunion

Organizers of the 50-year reunion of Garfield High School Class of 1972 are looking for contact information that could lead to the location of those individuals that might want to participate and attend the gathering in 2022, said Denise Stanford, leader of the Reunion Committee effort.

“It will be a special time where those of us still able to meet and fellowship, want to see others after all of these years,” said Stanford.

The group, that includes people from New York, Texas, Virginia and other places, has planned the weekend of August 12th of 2022 as the dates which will include dinner, a tour of the renovated High School, and a picnic.

“We know at our ages that planning is everything, so we want to give people enough time to get here,” said Stanford.

“The same here,” said retired educator Willie “Fish” Fisher, former senior class president and now resident of Las Vegas.  “There are so many people I want to see and I look forward to touring the school that I have so many great memories of.”

If you were a 1972 Garfield graduate, and have not been contacted by a reunion committee member, please provide your contact information (email and cellphone number) to Ms. Stanford at tsia1129@comcast.net, and pass the word to others.
