Greater Seattle Youth Football & Cheer League – Week 1

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThe Greater Seattle Youth Football & Cheer League opened its inaugural season last week with a full slate of games. The newly formed league features some familiar faces – Beacon Hill Cowboys, SWAC Cougars, Rainier Eagles, Kent Cobras and Renton Rangers – and two brand new teams  – Pacific Highway Chargers and Brave Pride. The league feature four divisions — Peewees (6-7 year olds), 89ers (8-9 year olds), Juniors (10-11 year olds) and Seniors (12-14 year olds) — and is affiliated with American Youth Football (AYF).

With only 8 players on the field, the Eagles could not keep up with the Rangers – who are considered by many to be one of the top teams in the league.
