The Rangers’ Jason Brown (75, 40 yards) and Raequan Watkins (40, 25 yards) both scored two touchdowns on the day as Renton handed the Cowboys their first loss of the season. Renton’s Trenton Tyler rounded out the scoring for the Rangers with a 50-yard touchdown.

The Rangers’ Jaelin Green scored on a 27-yard and later returned an interception 65 yards for a touchdown to help the Rangers post an impressive win over the Cowboys. Rentons’ Josh Connerly, Jr., Tremaine (Devon) Guidry, Warren Fontenette IV and Tyler Taylor also found their way to paydirt for the undefeated Rangers, while teammates Tyreeq Reaves and Treasure Jordan converted extra point attempts.

The Eagles posted their first win of the season with a win over the Cobras.

Beacon Hill Cowboys 20, Renton Rangers 6

The Rangers came to play but were not able to stop the Cowboys’ ground attack of Anthony Stills, Darrien Sampson and Taheem Jones. The Cowboys’ defense was led by Davion Dixon who tenacity and hard hitting created nightmares for the Renton runners. Renton’s Kevin Kenard scored on a 78-yard touchdown run for the Rangers lone score of the day.

SWAC 34, Pac Highway 12

SWAC took over sole possession of 1st place with a big win over the Chargers.

Rainier Eagles 39, Kent Cobras 6

The Eagles improved to 2-2 on the season. However, don’t let the record fool you as they had to forfeit their first two games of the season.
