This holiday season if I could give the community anything, it would probably be a community center just so that there is a space dedicated to the community, for creating community. I think as far as know in the city right now there’s places, a lot of places for people to just do what they need to do and go about their business, but not a lot of places that are dedicated to bringing people together.

My gift is to provide more Black owned businesses. So you know nowadays when we go to other businesses that are not like us, they tend to look at us different, sometimes you get hate comments about how we wear our hair and how we express ourselves by the clothes we wear. Because a lot of us, we wear African clothing, so we get a lot of stares when we go to other businesses that’s not like us. So if we have more Black businesses that would be amazing, maybe we will all be comfortable with ourselves instead of having to conform or fit end.

I would give the Community money to give to all the Schools for after school tutoring. Math/ Science and Computer studies are changing all the time. Happy Holidays!

I would gift the community with a sense of value for self. With it, the community could stop killing its members and understand why it needs to hold onto its property as its legacy for the next generations to come.

I would give the community peace of mind with optimism for 2018.Because each aspect peace of mind and optimism allows us as a community the necessary energy to produce positive outcomes and constructive dialogue to address the needs of our community. Not enough optimismand peace in the world at this time.
