Chief Sealth 3, Franklin 0

In a low-scoring affair, Chief Sealth secured victory with a field goal in the second quarter. Their record now stands at a perfect 3-0. Next up, they face West Seattle, putting both teams’ undefeated records on the line.

Roosevelt 47, Lakeside 7

Roosevelt’s defense forced five interceptions against Lakeside, and only allowed Lakeside a total of 198 yards of offense in route to a 47-7 victory. The Roughriders have now won two games in a row, and will be on the road against Franklin next.

Ballard 18, Lincoln 14

Despite posting their highest point total of the season with 14, the Lincoln Lynx fell just short against Ballard. This away game marked Ballard’s second win of the season, bringing their record to 2-1. They will now enjoy a three-game home stretch, hosting Rainier Beach, Garfield, and Seattle Prep.

O’Dea 42, Rainier Beach 0

O’Dea’s Jason Brown Jr., scored five touchdowns in the Fighting Irish’s shutout win against the Rainier Beach Vikings. O’Dea, now 3-0, will face Seattle Prep next week.

Garfield 28, Seattle Prep 19

Facing a three-point deficit at halftime, the Garfield Bulldogs scored 21 second half points to snap Seattle Prep’s two game winning streak.  Garfield quarterback EJ Caminong threw for 218 yards and two touchdowns, while Reylen Witherspoon led all rushers with 157 yards and two touchdowns. Reggie Witherspoon III caught five passes for 127 yards and a touchdown.

Eastside Catholic 55, Bishop Blanchet 0

The Crusaders jumped out toa 49-0 halftime lead as they won their second consecutive game by 40 points or more. Eastside Catholic quarterback Jake Tiryakigolu threw for 275 yards and completed 80% of his passes, while running back Jeremiah Burroughs and wide receiver Aaron Needham both had 90-plus all-purpose yards to help the Crusaders improve to 2-1 in the season.

Ingraham 28, Nathan Hale 14

Despite Nathan Hale tying the game at 14 in the third quarter, Ingraham’s 14-point fourth quarter helped earn them a win and improve their record to 2-1. This week Ingraham will look to continue their winning ways when they face Lakeside.
