Mansa:
“I would create smart centers in every community, focusing on their crucial role in promoting sustainable development by serving as hubs for culture, trade, education, spirituality, and technology integration. By exploring the intersection of these components, smart centers can create a holistic approach to addressing the needs specific to each community globally. By providing communities with the knowledge, support, and resources they need to succeed in today’s world, these centers can help create a more resilient and thriving society for future generations.”

Alvena:
“If I had the power to change the world, I would focus on promoting empathy and understanding among people from different backgrounds and cultures. I believe that fostering genuine connections and mutual respect can lead to a more peaceful and harmonious global community. Additionally, I would advocate for sustainable practices to protect our environment and ensure a healthy planet for future generations.”

Angie:
“If I had the power to change the world, I would help others find their hidden values so that it would give them a want to push through the storm. I would end homelessness worldwide. Provide healthier ways to eat more food that provides nourishment to your body and take away the unknown anger that one feels when they want to harm others. I would provide more information on debt control and teach our youth how to write in cursive. Lol. I would provide more youth centers that are beneficial and in connection to real-life struggles and have mentors who are available 24/7. Hire more available big sister and big brother mentors so that there is no need for waiting lists.”

Regina:
“If I had the power to change the world in one way, it would be to bring back common decency in the realm of respect towards our fellow human beings. One example of what this could look like would be: When two people approach each other in passing, to show a gesture of saying hello or nodding to acknowledge the other person. This doesn’t mean folks have to form/build a relationship… but only to show kindness in the regard of civility.”

Paul:
“If I had the power to change one thing in the world, I would make healthcare universally free. Aiding the sick, poor, and hungry should be a priority for the expansion of society. Due to the prevalence of illnesses and diseases and anything else that is going on in the world, there shouldn’t be a difference in the quality of help received based on someone having money versus being poor.”

Jaida:
“If I had the power to change one thing in the world, I would want to change a lot of things, but one important thing I would like to change would be to promote cheaper rent or easier living situations around the city. Seattle is one of the most expensive cities to live in, so I know personally it would make everyone happy here and in other areas where rent is pricey. People would not have to stress about working multiple jobs just to pay rent.”
