July 3, 1931 – April 20, 2024

Lafayette Juanita Thomas was born in Weatherford, TX. on July 3, 1931 and lived to the age of 92.  

She lived a rich life, touching countless souls through her 30-plus years as a dedicated Seattle Public School teacher, her active involvement in the church, and her membership in the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.   

A long-time Seattle resident and member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, she is survived by her husband of sixty-seven years, James Thomas Jr.,; sons, James Thomas III, David Thomas, and daughter, Thelma Thomas; 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.
