KD Hall Communications To Celebrate Northwest Regional Emmy Awards With Virtual Gala

After being nominated for a Northwest Regional Emmy Award in the Historical/Cultural – Short Film category for “The Untold Stories of Black Women in the Women’s Suffrage Movement,” KD Hall Communications is celebrating with a virtual Emmy Awards Gala co-hosted by the Washington State Women’s Commission on Sat. June 5 from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. The film

The film, commissioned by the Washington State Women’s Commission to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, which granted women the right to vote, features CEO of Seattle Urban League Michelle Merriweather and Honorable Judge Anita Crawford Willis, and KD Hall Foundation 2019 college ambassador cohort. 

 “The Washington State Women’s Commission is proud to have partnered with the very talented KD Hall in the production of “The Untold Stories of Black Women in the Suffrage Movement” as part of our Centennial Celebration of the passage of the 19th Amendment giving women the right to vote. We are excited that this important film has been nominated for a Northwest Regional Emmy Award. We look forward to more opportunities to support women-owned businesses like KD’s in the future.” said Regina Malveaux, Director of Washington Women’s Commission Office of the Governor.

The virtual Emmy Awards Gala will be hosted through the KD Hall Communications Facebook page on June 5, 2021 from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
