The Kent Black Action Commission (KBAC), in partnership with the Poverty Action Network, will conduct a “Turn out the Vote initiative” during the Kent Cornucopia Days Street Fair July 12 – 14.
This initiative signals the launch of a community led voter registration and voter education effort to promote voter participation and political awareness. The initiative conducted in conjunction with “Kent Cornucopia Days” will feature:
• A 3-day Voter Registration Drive
• New Voter Registration Sign Up
• Brochures on Ex-Felon voting rights
• Information on upcoming ballot initiatives
Volunteers will staff a voter registration booth from 10am to 4pm each day during the street fair.
In an effort to get the community activated into the political process, KBAC will be active in new-voter registration throughout the year.
