Leon Sullivan Health Care Center Moving Forward

Leon Sullivan Health Care Center, formerly the Branch Villa Health Care Center, is proud of the very positive State survey we received last month. Under new tougher requirements by the state, there were no major findings. This demonstrates Leon Sullivan’s commitment and focus on quality health care and service to the community. This success would not have been possible without the support of the community and numerous individuals who stepped up and made heroic efforts to allow this facility to remain open. It would be impossible to name all of the many dedicated people who worked so tirelessly in this effort. I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to them.I also want to thank the Leon Sullivan staff. Our staff is dedicated, skilled and compassionate. The result of the survey reflects the staff’s shared common goal focused on quality service and care for our residents. They are committed toward improvement and the residents we have the privilege to serve. The effort was led by Teshome Bayu, the Director of Nursing. His implementation of a new level of training and accountability for the staff is tangible proof that we are serious about our commitment to strengthening service to our residents and their families.

In order to maintain our momentum and success, we recently hired a new Administrator, Cash Carlos. He is energetic, intelligent and passionate about maintaining continuous quality care for our residents. Mr. Carlos has earned his Master’s Degree and is currently working on his Ph.D. During his eight years’ experience in nursing homes, he has gained extensive knowledge on providing quality care.We are excited to have Mr. Carlos on board and feel his leadership skills, knowledge of the industry and dedication will be an invaluable asset to our facility, its residents and the community. We want to reach out to the community, which has played such an integral part in keeping Leon Sullivan open to serve those in need. We take your trust seriously and will work hard to continue to serve this community. On behalf of the staff, OIC of Washington and its Boards of Directors, I want to thank you again for the opportunity to serve the community and help us move forward to the future on quality health care services. Sincerely,Steve MitchellCEO/General Manager
