Living Voices, a nationally acclaimed performing arts group, uses a unique combination of theatre, video, and live interaction to create a dynamic experience, allowing audiences to discover history’s relevance to their lives. They will be presenting two programs in the Skyway community during April. Both events are co-sponsored by the Skyway Tutoring/Rites of passage program located at Skyway United Methodist Church, 11800 Renton Ave. S.

On Tues. Apr. 12 at 6:30 p.m. there will be a play entitled “Northwest Passages,” which traces the experiences of a young Swedish girl as her family immigrates to Washington at the turn of the century. The American experience is discovered as she interacts with her African, Asian, and Native American neighbors. On Tues. Apr. 14 at 6:30 p.m. there will be an interactive workshop, which will include role play and conversation about the social questions raised by the drama. Both events are free, but the Apr. 14 portion will be limited to 25 participants. Please pre-register for the programs by calling 206-772-1700 ext. 3.
