In a shocking display of audacity, four masked robbers carried out a brazen midday heist on Thursday at Menashe & Sons Jewelers in West Seattle, stealing a staggering array of diamonds, gold, and luxury watches in a swift operation that lasted less than two minutes. The entire incident was captured on surveillance cameras, revealing the alarming tactics used by the thieves.
After violently breaking through the locked glass front door with a hammer, the robbers swiftly confronted the store’s staff, brandishing bear spray and a stun gun to instill fear. Once inside, they methodically ransacked six display cases. Among the stolen items were Rolex luxury watches valued between $700,000 and $800,000, alongside an emerald necklace worth $125,000. This particular case also housed a platinum diamond, while two additional display cases contained a substantial quantity of gold jewelry.
Witnesses described the scene as chaotic, with the suspects using their weapons to threaten employees throughout the ordeal. Fortunately, despite the tense situation, no injuries were reported. The robbers managed to escape in a getaway car before authorities arrived at the scene shortly after noon.
Seattle police are actively investigating the incident, but as of now, no arrests have been made. The community is left shaken by the boldness of the crime, prompting concerns about safety in the area and the need for enhanced security measures for local businesses. Detectives are reviewing the surveillance footage in hopes of identifying the suspects and apprehending them swiftly.
