Eastside Catholic 28, Rainier Beach 27
This game was a track meet as both teams exploded for big plays throughout the game, including back-to-back kickoff returns for touchdowns to begin the second half of play. A missed extra point attempt would be the difference in the game, as the Vikings efforts to win the game came up short late in the fourth quarter. Trailing 28-27, the Vikings were driving down the field and were approaching scoring position when running back Scot’Tre Humphrey fumbled the ball while fighting for extra yards. Eastside Catholic would recover the fumble and run out to clock to secure a hard-fought win over Rainier Beach.
