The Northwest African American Museum (NAAM) will host a community gathering to celebrate former Seattle Seahawk Kenny Easley’s induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Sat., Sept. 30 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the NAAM – 2300 S. Massachusetts St. in Seattle.
Easley, who played strong safety for the Seahawks from 1981 to 1987, was the 1981 AFC Defensive Rookie of the Year and the 1984 NFL Defensive Player of the Year. He was also named to the Pro Bowl five times, was a member of the NFL’s 1980s All-Decade Team, and was inducted into the Seattle Seahawks Ring of Honor.
In addition to his football accomplishments, Easley also demonstrates his commitment to the Pacific Northwest by sponsoring an annual charity golf tournament supporting youth education.
Easley’s NFL bust will be unveiled at the event and will be on display at NAAM until March 2018.
The community is invited to attend this event and encourage Kenny on this great achievement. Light refreshments will be served.
