Good start to the season for the Beacon Hill. Cowboys 8U squad. On offense, the Cowboys got touchdowns from Demetrios Gordon, Roman Petty, Malachi Jackson & Mai’King Newton. The defense was led by Jayce Williams & Lare Stewart. The infamous All-Star’s brought good energy and great sportsmanship!

The 8U Benson Bruins put on an offensive clinic in their season opener against the CDPanthers.. NW Premier newcomer and starting quarterback Cordae Norling made everyone take notice with his ability to distribute the ball, pass and run – scoring two running touchdowns. Returning captain, William Conroy, Jr., had a fantastic game that included two touchdowns and multiple tackles. The Bruins dominant defense held the Panthers scoreless, with strong performances by Dash Jones, Sosio Sekona and Jermaine Tofa, who had a fumble recovery for a touchdown. Benson’s CJ Vala also scored for the Bruins.

Marquis Tovia with thre touchdowns, including an interception that he returned for 65 yarda for a touchdown, a 22 yard touchdown run and a 40 yard touchdown run. He also completed an extra point pass to Kartae James and logged in one rushing extra point. The Laners defense contributed a sack and multiple tackles. James also scored on a 60 yard touchdown and racked up a few defensive tackles on the day. Teammate Leonyttis Muao had an extra point and a fumble recovery on defense, while Addison Boloko provided a 40 yard touchdown, and a few defensive tackles

Auburn put in work and had a tough first game but still had fun!!! Final score of 24-7, Spartans. Auburn reminded the team that a loss is just a learning opportunity!!! They’ll be back at practice this week ready to work hard, listen and make adjustments and be ready for next week!
