NW Premier football is heading down the stretch. Playoffs will be upon these young athletes soon as each team is vying for a spot. Top teams in the division all played well and as expected. HEIR, Rise RED, the Plarkland Raiders, Five Star, NW Grizzles (9U) and the Benson Bruins added a win to the column.
Each team came in with their playbook and executed their game plan to secure a win. Defense was the name of the game as each winning team had decisive wins. But do not take the opposing teams for granted. The Renton Rangers, the NW Grizzles (10U), B12 Bearcats, C2C Rams, Tac City and Gridiron all played valiantly. Their competitive spirits didn’t make these wins easy. Each team played with grit, aggressiveness and determination. They all played their hearts out.
As the season whines down, each team is working to position themselves for a playoff spot. It’s football season, the temperature is dropping, and the competition is going to get stiff. Although they are young, everybody wants to win. That is the nature of the game. So parents and fans, get your hats, gloves, this is Seattle, don’t forget you umbrella as you cheer on and watch good little football as the championship season is just around the corner.
