The Beacon Hill defense was eager, ready, hungry and vicious as they kept the Ravens out of the endzone in route to a season opening win. Beacon’s offense had a slow start but picked up the pace in the second half when Enoch Berry dashed for a 64-yard touchdown that was the only touchdown of the day. Beacon also had good runs by Keivon Porter and Sir Jewel Glover. Defensively, The Cowboys’ Tashawn Wilson and Miguel Aguilar had several tackles each but the hit of the day was by first year player Nehemiah Wilturner. It was an explosive first game for the SeaTac Sharks Sophomores as they started out on the offensive side of the ball led by quarterback Ronnie Jones, III. Jones connected with Sioeli (Fa) Siale for positive yards on the opening drive, as he continued to drive the ball through the heart of the Lancers defense. Jones then connected with Tyrone Jones for a 50-yard touchdown bring the score 6-0 in the first quarter of the game. Puget Sound Lancers ran into a smothering SeaTac defense led by Sioeli (Fa) Siale, Ranae Naitoko, Malachi Feo, Anthony (Ant) Solorio, and Eli (Ej) Saleaumua Jr. as they held the Lancers most of the game causing loss of yards and sacks. In the second half of the game, Jones hands the ball off to Ramon Jones, Jr. who broke loose for a 50-yard touchdown. After another impressive drive by the SeaTac offense Jones III completes a 20-yard pass to Siale for another touchdown. Jones III then ran the ball in for a 2-point conversion bring the score to 19-7. The Lancers tried to mount a came back with two impressive drives to bring them in scoring position, but the SeaTac defense was just too much for them to prevail.
