This game started off as a back-and-forth game. CD’s Yemoni Moni Howell had a 40-yard touchdown pass along with some defense of stops. The Panthers’ Earl “Skip” Riley had a 71-yard kick off return. The highlight of the day was when CD’s Jezel Jackson had a one-handed interception that turned the momentum of the game. He later scored the go ahead touchdown to give the Panthers the victory.
Five Star Cougars 37
White Center Seahawks 12
White Center came out firing as they recovered a fumble on the Cougars’ first drive. Taking that fumble recovery, they drove the field and ended up getting a touchdown catch from DJ Taape; taking a 6-0 lead. After a few mistakes by White Center, the Cougars started pulling away. Going into the third quarter, the Seahawks had a 31-6 deficit to make up. Again,DJ Taape cut into that lead with another touchdown at the 2:03 mark of the third quarter. At the end of the day, the Cougars prevailed but the Seahawks showed a great amount of resiliency.

SWAC’s Dayne Camacho had a kickoff return for touchdown on the opening kick off. The Cougars’ Tavita Fasili contributed a touchdown, Michael Rodriguez an extra point, Michael Rodriguez scored a touchdown, and Ja’Carey Banquet’s recorded an extra point. Tavita passed to Cris Soloman for touchdown and DeAndre Harris punch in an extra point.

Seatac quarterback EJ Sok ran for over 100 yards and number of touchdowns and running backs Scoot Wheeler and Ikuna Muasika both had big gains to lead the offense. The defense had a great day as they played lights out as a unit.
