The SWAC Cougars were able to get two quick touchdowns before the five minute mark in the first quarter. White Centers’ Elu Taape was able to grab a touchdown to make the game closer right before the first quarter ended. Throughout the game, SWAC proved that their offense would give the Seahawks trouble. Although the Seahawks had given the Cougars a few scores, the Seahawks themselves were able to strike early in the 4th quarter with a touchdown catch by Daniel Maiva to make the score 24-13. As the Seahawks continued to fight, but the Cougars proved to be too much.
Beacon Hill Cowboys 42
5 STAR 0
5 Star came in this week with the intention to get to above .500, but it was not to be, as the Beacon Hill Cowboys had other plans and with a stout defensive and a prepared offensive the Beacon Hill Cowboys were victorious in this contest. 5 Star was valiant, competitive and played with heart only to come up short this week. Next week both teams have another opportunity to be better.
Lakewood L.Y.T.E 42
Auburn Panthers 0
In the fifth week of play, Lakewood would not be denied. With a hard defensive scheme and aggressive offensive the Lakewood LYTE put on a show for their fans and in a dominant fashion came out victorious. Auburn in grand effort and a competitive nature did their best to hang in there, but Lakewood this week was just to prepared and to much for the Auburn Panthers. Auburn marched up and down the field but were unable to get into the endzone. Well there is always next week and Auburn will learn from this loss.
