The Seahawks had a tough task at hand when they ran into the Tacoma Spartans. The Seahawks effort was valiant, but at the end of the day the Spartans were too much.

This was a battle to the end. Both teams are in must win mood and both teams played like it. SWAC struck first but Beacon Hill’s Enoch Berry scored on a 57 yard run to get the score to 7-6 SWAC. Defense ruled the 3rd quarter. Cowboys were led by good tackling by Calvin Washington, John John Bernez, Sir Jewel Glover, and Enoch Berry. In the 4th quarter SWAC scored to make it 13-6. The Cowboys come back with a touchdown pass from Lamar Darden Jr to Xavier Traxler to make the score 13-12. The Cowboy’s defense held SWAC and got the ball back with 1:21 to go with no time outs but ran out of time.

Panthers Joey Thomas caught a pass for a touchdown along with Reylen “Road Runner” Witherspoon who had big 50 yard run to keep the Nationally 3 ranked panthers undefeated 7-0.

Ronald Jones Jr rushed for a touchdown and passed for a touchdown to Junior Jones in this highly contested game. Junior also ran for a score on the day not to be outdone by his twin brother “Boy Boy” Jones who rushed for over 100 yards and a touchdown. Eli Saleaumua rounded out the scoring by running in a 10 yard touchdown as well and two extra points for the day. The offensive highlight of the day was Boy Boy who appeared to be running out of bounds chased by three defenders and the running back stop on a dime, backed up and eluded the defenders and scampered into the end zone. Malachi Feo, Anthony Solirio, Cyrus Batingan and Fa Siale all had sacks and multiple tackles for a loss on the day.
