NW Premier Sophomore Division Scores & Highlights 10-4-17

5 Star 20
Beacon Hill Cowboys 6
The day started out slow for the Beacon Hill Cowboys as they allowed 5 Star to jump out to a 13-0 first quarter lead as 5 Star pounded their two big running backs down the center of Beacon HIll’s defense. Beacon Hill made some defenseive adjustments and the game became a battle. The Cowboys’ offense got started when Enoch Berry scored from 30 yards to get them on the board. In the second half , Beacon Hill’s Lamar Darden, Jr started making some good passes to receiver Xavier Traxler and Berry continued to run well. But fumbles cost Beacon Hill the momentum and 5 Star held their ground. Beacon Hill’s coaches said that it was a hard loss to take when you know your team can play better.

SWAC Cougars 33
White Center Seahawks 0
The start of the game proved it was going to be a tough day for the Seahawks. After a few quick attempted drives that were held short by the Seahawks, the Cougars were able to get two late touchdowns in the first quarter. Unfortunately, the SWAC offense was a bit much for the Seahawks defense. Despite the tough game for the Seahawks, late in the 4th quarter, Siaki Failautusi of White Center intercepted a pass from the SWAC quarterback.

CD Panthers 33
Rainier Ravens 0
Raylen “Road Runner” Witherspoon of the CD Panthers had a great game as he found the endzone and helped stop the Ravens on offense. With the win the Panthers improved to 5-0 at mid-season.

Benson Bruins 6
Seatac Sharks 0
The Bruins used a late game defensive stand to hand Seatac their first loss of the season.
