
Calvin Carl Watts, born on June 14, 1944 in East Palatka, Florida, to the late Thelma G. Watts and the late Calvin A. Watts, passed away at age 73 on May 30, 2018 in Renton, Washington.
Watts served in the Air Force as a jet aircraft mechanic and attended Bethune Cookman College. He also worked as an account representative at Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Bellevue, WA, where he retired.
Watts was married to Barbara J. Watts. He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin A. Watts and Thelma Watts; uncle Carl (Gertrude) Dawson; aunt Victoria Gundy; stepson, Sammy Harbour; brothers, Jerry Watts and Kenny Watts, and sisters, Brenda Watson and Vicki Lynn. Calvin C. Watts is survived by his son, Calvin J. (Robbye) Watts, Ed. D; stepson, Colon Harbour; Azziem H. Underwood; brothers, Herbie Watts and Carlee Watts; sister, Ladybeth (Frank) Turner; grandchild, Devin C. Watts.
Watts enjoyed sports, carpentry, fishing, traveling, eating great food and supporting youth initiatives. Whether as an usher at New Beginnings Christian Fellowship, as a member of The Breakfast Group, or as a foster parent to so many deserving youth—one of Calvin’s greatest gifts was serving others.
Watts leaves to celebrate his life a host of other relatives and friends who lovingly referred to him as “C.C.” or “Pops”.
Family and friends can pay their respects at Dayspring and Fitch Funeral Home, 5503 Rainier Ave South, Seattle on Sun., June 10 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
The funeral service will be officiated by Rev. Leslie Braxton on Mon., June 11 from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. at New Beginnings Christian Fellowship (NBCF), 19300 108th SE, Renton, Washington, 98055.
Immediately following the funeral, the interment service will take place at the Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 SE 240th St, Kent, WA 98042, and the Repast will take place at NBCF, immediately following the interment.
