Obituary: CATHIRENE MARION CHASE (HARRIS)

CATHIRENE MARION CHASE (HARRIS)

Affectionately known as “CAT”, aged 83, passed away on July 29, 2026, at the
Kline Galland Home in Seattle, Washington. Born on January
15, 1943, in Monroe, LA, to Alma and Louis A. Collins,
Cathirene was a beacon of love, laughter, and resilience.

Known for her vibrant spirit and warm heart, Cathirene loved
spending quality time with her family. She enjoyed cooking
and feeding her loved ones, sharing in laughter and good
times. Her other interests included reading, working on
puzzles, playing cards, and dominoes. Cathirene also had a
passion for dancing and enjoyed making trips to the casino,
often bringing back stories of fun and winnings.

 Cathirene was preceded in death by her mother, Alma Collins;
her father, Louis A. Collins; and her brothers, Bobby, Lauren,
Larry, and Charles Collins. She is survived by her son and
daughter‑in‑law, Bart Jr. and Adia Harris; her daughter,
Yvonne, and son‑in‑law, Victor Sr. Daggs. She also leaves
behind her cherished grandchildren Tierra, Domonique, Janea,
Devon, Jaylen, Victor Jr., Vaughn, and Varen; her great‑nieces
(raised as granddaughters) Nhgine and Saundrea Collins;
eleven great‑grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces and
nephews.

  In honor of Cathirene’s memory, her family and friends share a
personal message: “UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN. We think
about you always; we talk about you still. You have never
been forgotten, and you never will. We hold you close
within our hearts, and there you will remain, to walk and
guide us through our lives, until we meet again. -WE LOVE YOU!!!”

  Cathirene’s love, laughter, and memory will continue to
inspire us all. Her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she
touched and loved. She will be dearly missed.
