David Solomon Charles Delon Robinson was born on March 23, 1987, at 10:44 am, to Marion Robinson and Leonard Robinson. He was the only son of Marion and the younger brother of Lytisha, Sacheie, and Marquia. David professed Jesus as his Lord and Savior at a young age and was baptized by the late Reverend Ben Rhodes, the founding pastor of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.
David had a passion for sports, particularly basketball. He also possessed incredible artistic talent, with some of his drawings still displayed at Ingraham High School in Seattle. He graduated from Chief Sealth High School, also located in Seattle.
Family meant everything to David; he cherished his sisters and enjoyed spending time with his male cousins and god brother, Steven. He was a constant presence at family gatherings and activities, always showing unwavering loyalty to his loved ones.
One of David’s many talents was his exceptional cooking skills, surpassing even his sisters and mother (though he liked to joke about it). He learned the culinary arts from his father, Duane, and mastered dishes like lasagna, spaghetti, and BBQ ribs. There was no meal he couldn’t prepare.
The greatest joy in David’s life was his son, Davion. They shared a special bond and cherished their time together, often teasing one another.
David was preceded in death by his father, Duane Brown. He is survived by his son, Davion Robinson; mother, Marion Brown; siblings Lytisha Brown, Sacheie Coaxum, and Marquia Brown; god brother Steven White; only nephew, Tajon Williams; grandaunt Lucy Carrington of Newark, New Jersey; aunts and uncles, Sheridan Smith, Ronald Lewis, Robert Grover, Cora L. Jackson, and Yulavia Mackey; best friends, John Mosley and Preston Reddix; as well as numerous cousins and friends.
A Memorial Service honoring David’s life will take place on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, located at 715 23rd Avenue South, Seattle, Washington 98144.
