Obituary: Michael Edward Robinson

Micheal Edward Robinson

Michael Edward Robinson, an awesome husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, and all-around good guy, died on July 30, 2022. He was born to the union of Nancy C. Robinson (Wheeler) and Edward Robinson on May 26, 1965 in Baltimore, Maryland. Both parents proceeded him in death. 

Robinson attended schools in Baltimore, graduating in 1984 from Northwestern High School. Shortly after graduating his family moved to Seattle.  After arriving in Seattle, Robinson attended Seattle Community College. In 1986, Robinson joined the U.S. Navy. After basic training — which consisted of him being in Camp Lejeune in North Carolina, and Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, California — Robinson was stationed at Bremerton Naval Hospital as a corpsman.  When Robinson came to Seattle, he met the woman that was first his friend, then girlfriend and eventually became his wife, Tracie Holiday. On August 20, 1988, they married.  Robinson, affectionately known as “Big Mike”, became an instant dad to TraeAnna and Michael. Also, in 1988 they had Marlon. In 1993 they had Traciemichael.  After leaving the U.S. Navy, Robinson worked as a lab assistant at the Veteran’s Hospital, UW Hospital, Children’s Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospital. 

After battling a gastric problem for years, he passed away on July 30.  Leaving to mourn his death is his wife Tracie, daughters, TraeAnna and Traciemichael, sons, Michael, and Marlon.  Grandchildren, Amiri, LaVonne Michael, Darryl, Nevaeh, and Ajani. Brother’s Kenneth (Jane), Sean and Tim (Shawn). A host of family, brotha’s, sista’s and friends.

A viewing will be held on Thurs., August 25, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., and services will be held on Fri., Aug. 26, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Both the viewing and the services will be held at Bonney Watson, 16445 International Boulevard, SeaTac, WA 98188. Repast will be held on August 26, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Langston Hughes, 104 17th Ave. So., Seattle, WA 98144.  Burial will take place on August 29, 2022 at 1:30, Tahoma National Cemetery 18600 SE 240th, Kent, WA 98402.
