Obituary – Prince D. Denman, Sr.

Prince D. Denman, Sr.

Prince Dudley Denman, Sr. was called home June 9, 2019. An only child, Prince was born June 17, 1929 in Houston, Texas.

In 1942 a young Prince and his parents, the late Pastor Joe T. Denman and Mrythield Denman relocated to Seattle. Prince attended Garfield High School where he met and married the love of his life, Dorothy Mae Floyd in February 1950.

Prince worked for Burlington Northern Railroad and Amtrak for over 40 years as a chef. Prince possessed incredible wisdom and was revered by his eight children, 19 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He is survived by his eight children, Deborah Starling, Prince Denman, Jr., Beverly Denman, Annette Tyson, Dorothy Denman, Karen Berry, Teresa Denman and Diane Denman, and 51 descendants.

Viewing will be held between 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on June 21 at Columbia Funeral Home, 4567 Rainier Ave S. A Celebration of Life will be at 12 noon Sat., June 22 at Unity Church of God in Christ, 8302 Renton Ave S.
